The first, interim review of the SYNERGY Innovation Action with the Project Officer from the European Commission and the external reviewers was virtually held on the 9th of September 2021. During the meeting, the WP leaders and relevant Task leaders presented the progress of the project and the key outcomes of the first 18 months of project. The consortium received constructive feedback from both the Project Officer and the external reviewers that acknowledged the project’s advancements and the outstanding work carried out during this first period of the project.
SYNERGY aims to deliver a novel Big Data platform powered by energy-related data that effectively addresses the complexity of the energy/ electricity sector value chain interactions and allows for the delivery of innovative Energy- as-a-Service offerings, through central as well as federated experimentation with big data analytics, service composition, data sharing, assets reuse and business value generation.
Within this context, UBITECH, as the leader of the SYNERGY platform’s architecture design, presented the technical architecture of the platform, as well as the overall technical details of the layers and services bundles of the architecture. Moreover, UBITECH, as the leader of WP3 entitled End-to-end Interoperable Big Data Management Platform, presented the details of the SYNERGY Common Information Model, the Beta Releases of the Data Collection, Data Security, Data Storage, Data Governance and Platform Management Services Bundles as well as the delivery of the first 2 releases of the SYNERGY platform (Alpha & Beta Releases).
