Successful final review for the ICARUS Innovation Action

The Final Review of the ICARUS H2020 project, held virtually  on the 26th of August 2021, was completed with great success, marking the end of the 42-month project. During the meeting, the progress of the project  and the outstanding work carried out during the second period of the project was presented by the WP leaders and the relevant Task leaders in a collaborative atmosphere. The Project Officer and Reviewers expressed their enthusiasm about the achievements and the final outcomes of the project which has fully achieved its objective and milestones for the period according to their feedback and assessment.

UBITECH, as the responsible partner for the overall project management and consortium coordination, presented the key outcomes of the project, as well as the achievements accomplished during the completion of the project’s mission that has reached a valuable end in an efficient and effective way. Furthermore, UBITECH, as the leader of WP3 entitled ICARUS Platform Design, presented the final and optimised technical architecture of the platform. Finally, UBITECH, as the leader of WP4 entitled Platform Agile Development and Deployment, supported the live demonstration of the final release of the ICARUS platform that was presented during the review meeting.

ICARUS has designed and delivered a fully-functional and integrated, big data analytics and sharing platform, that demonstrates the following key features: (a) End-to-End Data Security allowing to encrypt data on-premise, (b) Trusted Data Sharing for creating, signing and validating smart data contracts, (c) Advanced Access Control to regulate access to the privately owned data assets, (d) Secure and Private Analytics Spaces for designing and executing analytics and “applications”, (e) Intuitive Data Exploration in order to find, understand and explore aviation-related data, and (f) Effortless Data Linking that aims at curating, mapping and linking the privately owned data assets with external data based on a common data model (which is built based on state-of-the-art aviation ontologies and data models).
